Have you ever found yourself thinking, “I know what I want… so why am I finding it so difficult to actually go for it?”
You have the ideas.
You have the experience.
You even have the strategy.
And yet, something keeps pulling you back.
You hesitate. You overthink. You procrastinate. You question yourself.
Perhaps you want to build the business you’ve been thinking about for years.
Perhaps you want to become more visible.
Charge more for what you do.
Speak up.
Take a risk.
Be seen.
Or simply stop living your life according to what everyone else expects of you.
Suddenly, the old identity can start whispering:
“Who do you think you are?”
“What if people judge you?”
But what if you don’t need to eliminate the fear?
What if you need to expand your identity?
Because the woman who built your life up to this point may not be the woman who needs to build your next chapter.
And that’s okay.
You don’t have to reject who you’ve been.
You get to evolve her.
The woman who once needed certainty might learn to trust herself in uncertainty.
The woman who needed everyone’s approval might learn to approve of herself.
The woman who played small to keep everyone comfortable might discover that taking up space isn’t selfish.
The woman who constantly questioned whether she was enough might finally decide that she doesn’t need to prove her worth before she begins.
So if you’re standing at the edge of something right now and thinking:
“I’m not sure I’m the woman who can do this…”
Maybe that’s not the problem.
Maybe you’re simply standing at the doorway of an identity you’ve never inhabited before.
And perhaps the question isn’t:
“Am I ready?”
Perhaps it’s:
“Who do I need to become to make this possible?”
Because your next chapter may require a version of you that your current identity hasn’t met yet.
You just have to give yourself permission to become more. ❤️
