There’s a strange little trap that so many women find themselves living in.
You’re constantly trying to work out:
Am I too much?
Or…
Am I not enough?
And the crazy thing?
You can feel both in the very same day.
One minute you’re thinking:
“Who am I to do this?”
“I’m not experienced enough.”
“What if I get found out?”
“Maybe I’m just not good enough.”
And then, when you finally consider stepping forward…
“What if people think I’m arrogant?”
“Am I being too ambitious?”
“Am I taking up too much space?”
“What if people don’t like this version of me?”
It can feel like you’re trapped between two invisible walls.
Don’t be too small.
Don’t be too big.
So you settle somewhere in the middle.
Not quite expressing your full potential.
Not quite allowing yourself to be fully seen.
The Fear of ‘Not Enough’
At some point, many of us learned to connect our worth with what we do.
Be good.
Get it right.
Achieve.
Make people proud.
Don’t make mistakes.
And slowly, without realising it, we can begin to believe:
“If I achieve, I’m worthy.”
Which inevitably creates the terrifying flip side:
“If I fail, maybe I’m not.”
So we strive.
We overthink.
We procrastinate until we’re certain we can get it right.
We compare ourselves to women who seem further ahead.
And underneath all of it is the fear:
“What if people discover that I’m not enough?”
And Then There’s ‘Too Much’.
Maybe you’ve learned that certain parts of you aren’t acceptable either.
Too sensitive.
Too emotional.
Too opinionated.
Too loud.
Too ambitious.
So you learned to edit yourself.
To soften your opinions.
Lower your standards.
Keep quiet.
Make yourself more comfortable for other people to be around.
Not because you aren’t powerful…
But because somewhere along the way, your nervous system learned:
Being fully seen might not be safe.
And this is where the two fears collide.
‘Not enough’ tells you to shrink.
‘Too much’ tells you to shrink.
Either way, you’re making yourself smaller.
But What if you Stopped Playing by The Rules?
What if you stopped asking:
“Am I too much?”
And started asking:
“For whom?”
And instead of:
“Am I enough?”
Asked:
“According to whose standards?”
Because you may discover that you’ve been measuring yourself against expectations you never consciously chose.
You don’t need to become less ambitious.
– Less visible.
– Less passionate.
– Less powerful.
And you certainly don’t need to become somebody else’s version of “enough.”
You need to become fully yourself.
This is Inner Power Embodiment.
Not becoming louder for the sake of being powerful.
Not forcing confidence.
Not proving your worth.
But becoming so anchored in who you are that you no longer need everyone else to approve of you.
The woman who knows her worth doesn’t need to be “not enough” for anyone.
And she doesn’t need to be “too much” for anyone either.
She is simply herself.
And that is more than enough.
With fierce love & courage,
